Templates

Templates let you save a report's layout and structure so you can reuse it for future reports. Instead of building everything from scratch each time, you just pick your template and adjust it for the new report. Jepto also comes with its own built-in templates you can start from right away.

Built-in Templates

Jepto provides a set of ready-made templates covering common report layouts. These are available to all users and can be found under the Template Gallery tab when creating a report.

Saving a Report as a Template

Once you've built a report you're happy with, you can save it as a template to reuse later. Go to Reports, click the menu on the report you want to save, and select Save Report as Template. The saved template will then appear under the Saved Templates tab in the Templates page.

Managing Your Templates

To view and manage all your saved templates, go to Reports in the left sidebar and click the Templates tab. From here you'll see two tabs:

Saved Templates — full report layouts you've saved as templates. Select any template and click Create New Report to use it as the starting point for a new report.
Saved Cards — individual cards you've saved from any report, including charts, text, images, logos, and more. These can be dropped into other reports so you don't have to rebuild the same card from scratch each time.

Using a Template

When creating a new report, click the Templates tab and browse the available options across three tabs:

All Templates — a combined view of your saved templates and the ones Jepto provides
My Templates — templates you've saved yourself
Template Gallery — templates created by Jepto

Select the template you want to use and click Create Report to apply it. From there you can adjust the content, metrics, and date range to suit your new report.
