Custom Field Format controls how a custom metric's numbers look in reports, Data Chat and anywhere else Jepto shows them. You set it when you create or edit a custom field in Data Sources → Data Model: the type, the currency, decimals, and any text before or after the value.
The same number reads very differently as 1234.567, $1,235 or ₱1.2K. Setting the format once on the field means every card, table and chat answer that uses it shows the value the same way, in the right currency.
Open a custom field, choose Metric, then fill in these fields. The Preview at the bottom shows 1,234.567 with your settings as you change them.
Currency sets the symbol (₱). Prefix and Suffix are your own text around it.
Approx. . For currencies it goes before the symbol. Prefix is used exactly as typed, so end it with a space if you want one: Approx. shows Approx. $1,235 and Approx. shows Approx.$1,235. / month. Percentage always ends in %, so its suffix is locked.
PHP or peso.Don't type the symbol in Prefix. Prefix is plain text and doesn't change the currency, so ₱ in Prefix with Currency set to None shows ₱$1,235. When Currency is None, Jepto uses US dollars ($).
A prefix that is exactly a three-letter currency code, such as USD, is read as the currency and isn't shown twice.
Choose the code in the Currency list. The last column shows how 1,235 appears. Jepto shows a symbol where one is widely recognized and the three-letter code for the rest.
