In order to document reviews that have been removed from your profiles, you must create the Automation Job - Automation: Google Review Change History.

When this Automation Job is active, it will create an Insight and display a list of the removed reviews on this page.

Reasons for removal

Google may remove a review from a business profile for various reasons, and the exact cause can vary. Here are some common reasons why Google might remove a review:

Violation of Google's Review Policies: If a review violates Google's review policies, such as containing hate speech, profanity, false information, or personal attacks, Google may remove it.
Spam and Fake Reviews: Google has systems in place to detect and remove fake reviews and spammy content. If a review is deemed to be fake or spam, it will likely be removed.
Conflict of Interest: If a reviewer has a conflict of interest with the business they are reviewing, such as being an employee or a direct competitor, Google may remove the review.
Inappropriate Content: Reviews that contain inappropriate content, like sexually explicit material or illegal activities, may be taken down.
Review Not Relevant to the Business: Reviews should pertain to the specific business and its services. If a review is about an unrelated topic or another business, it might be removed.
Duplicate Reviews: Google may remove duplicate reviews from the same user or substantially similar reviews.
Non-Genuine Reviews: Reviews that are not based on a genuine experience with the business, but rather are fabricated or paid for, can be removed.
Reviews by Minors: Google's policies state that reviewers should be at least 13 years old. Reviews by underage users may be removed.
Reviews without Sufficient Detail: Reviews that lack substance or meaningful information may be removed, as Google encourages reviewers to provide helpful feedback.
Legal Issues: In cases where a review violates local laws or regulations, or if there are legal concerns related to the review, Google may remove it.
