Create Theme

Themes control fonts, colors, and styling across your reports. Create custom themes to match your brand or client branding.

*Note: Jepto Theme is the default and cannot be edited.*

How to Create a Theme

Step 1: Go to Themes

Go to Reports, then Theme, and click the + (plus button) to create a new theme.

Step 2: Customize Your Theme

Enter a descriptive theme name, then customize using three main sections:

Appearance

Configure fonts, spacing, and card styling for your reports.

Text

Font — Choose your typeface (e.g., Proxima Nova, system fonts)
Size — Adjust font size using the slider (T control)

Card

Title — Font weight for card titles (e.g., Semibold, Bold, Regular)
Heading — Visual prominence level (e.g., Light, Regular, Dark)
Radius — Rounded corners on cards (0–10+ pixels)
Border — Card border width (0px for no border, 1–5px)
Padding — Internal spacing inside cards (10px–50px)
Add Shadow — Enable/disable card drop shadow

Report Container

Max Width — Maximum width for reports (Auto or specific pixel value)
Padding — Space around the report edges (10px–50px)
Cards Gap — Spacing between cards on the report (5px–20px)

Styles

Set text colors, action/link colors, alert colors, and container styling. Styles configure the visual hierarchy and status indicators across your reports.

Light Mode

Text

Primary Color — Main text color
Secondary Color — Muted/lighter text color

Action / Link

Color for clickable links and interactive elements

Alert

Success — Green indicator for positive/completed states
Info — Blue indicator for informational messages
Warning — Orange indicator for caution/warning states
Danger — Red indicator for errors or critical states

Report Container

Background Color — Report background color

Cards

Card Background — Card container background
Card Shadow — Shadow color and intensity

Border

Primary — Main border color
Secondary — Secondary/lighter border color

Dark Mode

Same configuration as Light Mode, but optimized for dark backgrounds. Use lighter, more saturated colors for contrast against dark backgrounds.

Palettes

Define light and dark mode color schemes for your reports. Palettes are used by charts to color data series.

Choose Palette

Select a pre-defined palette from the dropdown (e.g., "Pied Piper Palette"). This palette is used by default for all charts in the report.

Light Mode

Configure 10+ colors for charts displayed in light mode. Each color is individually editable:

Color #1 through Color #10+ — Define colors for data series (hex code or color picker)
+ Add New Color — Add additional colors beyond the default 10

Use darker, more saturated colors for visibility against light backgrounds.

Dark Mode

Configure 10+ colors for charts displayed in dark mode. Each color is individually editable:

Color #1 through Color #10+ — Define colors for data series (hex code or color picker)

Use lighter, brighter colors for visibility against dark backgrounds.

Best practice: Test your palettes in both light and dark modes to ensure sufficient contrast and readability.

Light vs Dark Mode

Reports display in light or dark mode based on user preference.

Light Mode uses colors from your light palette against white backgrounds.Dark Mode uses colors from your dark palette against dark backgrounds.

Best practice: Test both modes to ensure colors are readable and look good in each.

Applying a Theme

Open a report
Go to Settings (gear icon)
Select your theme from the Theme dropdown

To set a default theme for all new reports, go to Settings → Default Theme and select your custom theme.

Editing a Theme

Go to Reports → Theme tab
Select a current theme you want to edit
Modify Appearance, Styles, or Palettes
Changes apply to all reports using that theme

Note: Jepto Theme cannot be edited.
